The protesters, lead by Mr P Thilothaman and Mr K Ajith, both CPI MLAs, entered the location of ''Daddy cool'' at Thaneermukkam.
In the meanwhile, the pro-CPI(M) DYFI activists also rushed to the spot, creating friction and disrupting the shooting of the film.
However, the MACTA office-bearers informed they would stop the siege of shooting locations till April 23 following an assurance by Mammooty and Suresh Gopi, another leading actor in the Malayalm film.
The MACTA had started the siege, alleging the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA), a new association by leading Malayalam film technicians, including directors, of trying to scuttle the future of the body.
Trouble first broke out early last year, when Malayalam actor Dileep, refused to act in a film by Mr Thulasidas, following a string of flops by the director.
The dispute remains unresolved and the MACTA accused both Mammotty and Dileep of trying to scuttle the future of the body.
Though many mediators had come forward to sort out their differences the FEFKA continued to function, which provocated MACTA members.
A similar protest was also staged yesterday, when the MACTA members surged to the shooting location of ''Bodyguard''. in which Dileep was hero, at Palakkad.
Later, the police arrested the agitating workers and resumed the shooting.
