Sathyan memorial award 2010 for Mammotty

Greate news for mammotty Fans.super actor Mammootty has been chosen for this year's Sathyan memorial award, instituted by the Kerala Cultural Forum.

Mammootty was chosen for the award in recognition of his acting talents and contributions to Malayalam cinema in the last three decades, award committee chairman and actor-director Madhupal told reporters.

Sathyan memorial award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,001, statuette and citation.

The award would be presented to Mammooka at a function on the 99th birth anniversary day of renowned malayalam actor Sathyan on November 9 at the Sathyan memorial hall

Mammootty will do a Basheer character in ‘Shabdangal’

Priyanandhanan the Famous art house director, will call the shots for this movie which will be scripted by the director in association with Sashidharan who wrote the script for the national award winner ‘Pulijanmam’.

Mammootty's August 15 started.

Supertstar Mammootty's Shaji Kailas directed August 15, a sequel to yesteryear super hit August 1 (1988) directed by Sibi Malayil, has commenced in Thiruvananthapuram. An investigative thriller, August 15 is produced by Aroma Mani.

In the sequel, Mammootty will reprise his earlier role of a brainy investigative officer Perumal, while Yakshiyum Njanum fame Meghna Raj will be the heroine.

In August 15 also features Captain Raju, Prathapachandran, Innocent, Jagadish, Janardanan, Lizy, Mammukoya, Poojappura Radhakrishnan, Jagathi Sreekumar, Sreenath, Sukumaran, K.P.A.C. Sunny, Kollam Thulasi, Urvashi and Vijayan. Mammootty-Shaji Kailas duo's last venture Drona 2010 bombed at the box office.

Mammootty's voice in Prithviraj's Anwar

Superstar Megastar Mamootty had been to Lal Media, Cochin to lend his noted voice for the latest Prithviraj starrer 'Anwar'. The movie directed by Amal Neerad is now structured to start and end with Mammootty's voice, which will be one of its highlights.

Mamootty keeping a good rapport with Prithviraj ever since ‘Pokkiri Raja’, had also been the lead star of Amal's ‘Big B' which had been one of the best action movies in Malayalam. 'Anwar' is expected to be in theatres this week.
