Mammootty mourns the death of Lohithadas

Kochi, Sunday, June 28, 2009: Condoling the death of cine director Lohithadas, veteran Malayalam actor Mammootty said, it was Lohithadas who had discovered the actor in him and created characters suitable for him and added that the untimely death was a personal loss for him.

Mammootty had starred in Lohithadas’s first directorial venture Bhoothakannadi which had won several awards including the National award

Renowned director Blessy who had assisted Lohithadas in many of his ventures said, the death was unbelievable and great loss.

The body which is at present kept at the Maharajas College ground for the public to pay homage will also be taken to Thrissur and Chalakkudy. Lohithadas was suffering from heart related ailments for the past six months.

Lohithadas who had come to Kochi to attend the general body meet of AMMA in the morning, developed uneasiness and was immediately taken to the Lisy Hospital where he was declared dead of cardiac arrest at 10:50 AM.
