Mamooty 2009 Projects

Mammooty, the popular actor of mollywood has a disappointed career in 2008. This year he comes some bigger projects -’PazhazziRaja’,'Vandematharam’ ,’Kuttishrank’ and ‘Patanthil Bhootham’ have been completed and are slated for release.
In ‘Pattanathil Bhootham’ he teams up with Kavya Madhavan. E Pattanathil Bhootham is scheduled for June 25th. Other major projects to hit the screens this year include a film on social reformer Sree Narayana Guru, in which will Mammootty along with Mohanlal.Then he has “Daddy Cool”, the film is written and directed by debutant Ashik Abu.

Also he again teams up with Amal Neerad for "Son of Alexander" the second part of Samrajyam.

Mammootty-Joshi joins again

Mammooty, the superstar of malayalam is again joining with the veteran director joshi. Mammooty Joshi the hit pair has made many hits in the past in mollywood again joins for a script by AK Sajan. As per the reports Mammooty will join Joshi after completing Loud Speaker. Joshi is now doing his prithviraj movie Robinhood.

Mammootty has a string of films to do this year, but there are chances that the actor gives way for this film. In fact, it was Joshi who gave Mammootty a big break with New Delhi when his career was looking so dim. The hit pair first worked together in Aa Rathri and went on to do many hit and super hit films.

Sasikumar to Act

One of the biggest name in Kerala media business, Sasikumar, is all set to act in a new Mammootty film.

The new movie ‘Loudspeaker’ directed by Jayaraj, will have him in a pivotal character. He will be in the role of Menon, the richest man in the Thopramkudy village, and a friend of Mike Chacko played by Mammootty.

Sasikumar, the founder chairman of Asianet group, is presently the director of Asian school of Journalism.

‘Loudspeaker’ is all set to start its shoot by the end of next week at Ottappalam.

Moser Baer Signs Up Mammootty For Movie Loud Speaker

Moser Baer, after establishing itself firmly in Kollywood with several films to its credit like Vellitherai, Raman Thediya Seethai, Poo, and Abhiyum Naanum will now venture into the Malayalam film industry. In fact, this corporate production house will produce two films consecutively. While one film has been titled Kaana Kanmani, the other one is named Loud Speaker.

In Kaana Kanmani, the team that was involved in the blockbuster film Veruthe Oru Bhariya has been signed up with the only exception being the female lead - Gopika has been replaced by Padmapriya. The shooting is expected to commence on June 22nd and the film is slated for a Ramzan release. Loud Speaker will have Mammootty and Gracy Singh in the lead.
